The Cuddler....

So, this is our new chair- it's called the cuddler! It is so big and comfy and the whole family can fit into it together-although Chris and I prefer to sit only the two of us in it! I would normally not think of myself as so dramatic over a simple chair, but for some reason, this chair has seriously brought our family closer together. Before, we were always sprawled across the floor and couch, etc. when watching TV and stuff, but now, we can spend more close time together. When Chris was in Seattle last week, Calli and Teags and I spent a good amount of Sunday cuddled up watching Harry Potter movies, and I had one of the best times with my girls. We laughed about silly stuff and told funny jokes, and played my DS ( as you can see in the pic, Teags concentrates very hard while playing Super Mario- she's pretty good!) I love my girls and we all really miss Alyx- we talked about her a lot too... So, I just thought I would let you see the new member of the front room... love you all.

Secondly, but not least- I want to wish Grammy a very happy birthday! She is the most magnificent, smartest, and funniest grandma a girl could wish for! I have so many great memories of spending time with Grammy and Grandpa T in Arizona, and I wish I had more recent memories, as we have not seen each other very much in the past few years. I think about you all the time though Grams, and I hope we can spend time together soon... you could always come here and sleep on the new cuddler chair, you know! Anyway- happy birthday to a seriously spectacular person- and here's to many more (cheers) Love you forever and always Grams!

HO-HUM,,,,

Well, I don't have a lot to say today- so just thought I would check in.... I hope my wonderful mother had a great time in Arizona for Grammy's birthday! Thanks again to GG and Auntie Megs for staying with Alyx and keeping her company...

Well duh, speaking of Miss Alyx- sorry, I totally forgot to tell you about her birthday! I only heard about it on the phone, but it sounds like it was a pretty darn good sweet 16th! She called us to open our presents over the phone- we got her a new big bag for school, and it was filled with hat, lip gloss, candy, gum, etc.... you get the drift. The little girls and I picked out some very cute stickers and paper to make her homemade cards- she loved it! So, here's to our great Alyx, who will be driving in a couple days! I hope you had a wonderful birthday kiddo, and I missed you for every second of the day, as I do all the time! Love you-----

Besides that, we had dinner with Chris' grandparents yesterday- they just got back from Mexico for the winter- it was really fun- Jan made a great dinner, and I made my first trifle! It was berries and lemon cream... yumyum!

Another Easter for the books....

Well, another Easter for the memories! This year we really missed having Alyx here, but we had a good time. Grandma Jan and Auntie April were here to celebrate with us. The girls did two easter egg hunts- one inside, and one outside- we have a lot of eggs! As you can see above, Jan made this amazing cake- she is seriously the best cake maker I know- and you can see my fruit pizza- that's the only dessert I attempt very often- cakes are not my forte....

We had brunch together, and the girls got some great gifts from the Easter bunny- Teags thinks that the Easter bunny is very tiny-like a fairy, and Calli thinks he is a giant bunny. They had a heated discussion about this while we dyed Easter eggs. All in all- a great day- and I think brunch is the best thing ever- I am done cooking and we are done eating by lunchtime- and the rest of the day is relaxation time!

Isn't this a cool picture? You can go online and get your pictures made into a pencil sketch- we just wanted to say hi to everyone! Hope you all have a great Easter and eat lots of chocolate! We are doing brunch this year- should be fun!

Well, today was the first day of actually feeling like Spring! We had spring break this last week, and it snowed every single day- so of course on Sunday, it's nice out~ Oh well- Calli still braved the weather and played outside most the week- she was quite the social butterfly this week- we had four sleepovers, gymnastics thing, friends house's, and Skate Plaza... phew!

So, I sure am in the mood for planting- I spent the day outside, weeding and de-heading all the old flowers- there's a bunch of sprouts coming up all over the yard, so I am feeling the spring fever... can't wait to go camping and floating- I think the girls are big enough to go floating this year- definitely one of our favorite pasttimes around here.

For updates, Chris is doing GREAT at his new job- he was the top salesman last week! He is loving it, and I think he will really appreciate being in A/C this summer.... My work is going good too- one of my doctors took off for a week to Spain, so I am having a little break too. Calli is as above- busy as a bee and excited to go back to school in the morning. Teags is hilarious- that sums her up- she is soooo funny- I adore this age. She sings literally at the top of her lungs all day- especially while going to the bathroom (with the door open :) She also enjoyed playing outside with me today- she adopted a pet worm, and named him Butterfly- then she carried him around for about an hour- till he was all dried up- and then she "planted him" so he would get better.... We had a nice day- wish I could spend days with you more though! I miss my sisters- have to call you- or they could call me!
