The craft that Mom made with the girls. love it!

We had such a fantastic time with Marmee and GG here last week for Thanksgiving.  I think Mom and Dad wore the girls out! They kept them so busy and happy while I was working- thank you so much M & D!  Here's just a snippet of the activities; date with Calli to the new Percy Jackson movie, date with Teags to the mall and Christmas shopping, out to dinner, watching our Packers lose with Dad, which made it easier to bear, out to the Christmas Light Show and Parade at the Resort, to the movies, many random shopping trips, crafts, cooking, swimming at the hotel, more cooking and treats :) I think every time they come to visit, it's just better and better.  Mom also helped the girls pick out curtains for their newly decorated bedrooms, and tonight for family night we finished hanging all the random things on the wall.  Still must do the wall decals and the chinese lanterns, and then I will take pics.  Only 3 more weeks until we see the fam at Christmas time!! AND...only 1 more week until finals and then I get a month-long break from school!! oh the relief I will feel when that's here.  xoxoxo everyone

Sooo much goin' on :)

Hello all my loyal readers! (all 4 of you)  We have been busy, busy bees up here in North ID.  I'm just going to post some random pics so you can catch up with us.  But, for the most part- school has taken over our lives.  I started about 4 weeks ago; can't believe I'm a month in already.  I am enrolled in my 2nd semester and am doing 16 credits- wish me luck!  Loving it so far.  Calli is in her 2nd year of middle school, 7th grade, and is quite the social debutante.  She has a lot going on with school and friends, as well as getting in her TV time whenever possible.  We have Netflix instant watch and she's addicted to it :)  Teags is in 3rd grade! She has a great teacher who is very sweet and is loving school so far.  I wish I could post a pic of the outfits she puts together every day; she is so very colorful! Besides school, tennis will be starting for Teags soon, and Callista is waiting for Art Club to start up after school, which will be so good for her.  Alyx is living in Las Vegas still and is doing pretty good- she has a part-time job at Michael's craft store, and Kiara Jane is growing up way too fast! She's so adorable and we miss her silly laugh and giggles around here.  She turns 1 in October, so Alyx is trying to make arrangements to get here for her b-day.  Love you all and miss you so much...hopefully we are heading to Marmee and GG's for Christmas-time!

Oregon Coast!!

So, we headed on down to the Oregon Coast for the last week...felt just like home.  I was flooded with memories of spending so many times there as a kid.  The party included myself and the girls, cousin April and her family, plus her boyfriend Joey and his mother and kids.  We all rented a house in Gleneden Beach, right on the water.  We did so much stuff!! Boogie boarding was our top favorite- rented wetsuits and played in the ocean almost every day :)  Calli is a natural, by the way.  Teags would have nothing to do with fully immersing herself in the water...she did a lot of burying herself in the sand like a mermaid.   We went to Mo's for chowder, of course (how was this vegetarian never aware they put bacon in their chowder??) oh well- I took 2 bites!  We went to the Aquarium and even got a little souvenir from the gift shop.  We went to Agate Beach afterwards and were all too exhausted to do much digging, but I found a couple!  We stopped by the shops in Newport, Lincoln City, and Depoe Bay, and collected pounds of saltwater taffy to bring home.  The rest of the time, we had bonfires and smores on the beach, made castles, flew kites, and made delicious dinners every night, followed by a sit in the hot tub on the back deck, listening to the waves pound the shore.   Seriously, I think this was the most amazing thing I've been able to do with my girls...we made so many memories and had such good times.  Something we will never forget...
