So, we headed on down to the Oregon Coast for the last week...felt just like home. I was flooded with memories of spending so many times there as a kid. The party included myself and the girls, cousin April and her family, plus her boyfriend Joey and his mother and kids. We all rented a house in Gleneden Beach, right on the water. We did so much stuff!! Boogie boarding was our top favorite- rented wetsuits and played in the ocean almost every day :) Calli is a natural, by the way. Teags would have nothing to do with fully immersing herself in the water...she did a lot of burying herself in the sand like a mermaid. We went to Mo's for chowder, of course (how was this vegetarian never aware they put bacon in their chowder??) oh well- I took 2 bites! We went to the Aquarium and even got a little souvenir from the gift shop. We went to Agate Beach afterwards and were all too exhausted to do much digging, but I found a couple! We stopped by the shops in Newport, Lincoln City, and Depoe Bay, and collected pounds of saltwater taffy to bring home. The rest of the time, we had bonfires and smores on the beach, made castles, flew kites, and made delicious dinners every night, followed by a sit in the hot tub on the back deck, listening to the waves pound the shore. Seriously, I think this was the most amazing thing I've been able to do with my girls...we made so many memories and had such good times. Something we will never forget...
